Juliette den Ouden is an internationally acclaimed hair and makeup artist with a deep passion for making a difference. Through her extensive travels for work, she has witnessed firsthand the challenging living conditions of people with albinism in Africa. This experience deeply moved her and inspired her to take action.
As Chair of Unity for Albinism, Juliette leverages her global network to bring awareness, resources, and support to the cause. Her mission goes beyond beauty—she is dedicated to creating opportunities and improving lives.
In addition to her role with the foundation, Juliette is an ambassador for Hairdressers Without Borders, where she empowers individuals worldwide by sharing her skills and knowledge. Her life’s work is fueled by compassion and a commitment to helping others, making her an inspiring force for change.
Meet Anke
Secretary of Unity for Albinism
Anke Boereboom is a socially engaged entrepreneur with a passion for personal growth and inclusion. As a voice coach, she trains both young people and professionals, including through SUAS, part of Schouten & Nelissen. She also volunteers at the Kindertelefoon, offering support and a listening ear to children and teenagers.
With a heart for equal opportunities, Anke brings her dedication and expertise to Unity for Albinism. She is committed to creating a world where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued, making her a vital part of the foundation’s mission.

Karin Plugge is the treasurer of Unity for Albinism, bringing her financial expertise and warm heart to the foundation. With years of experience in finance, she ensures that all donations are managed transparently and used effectively to support our mission.
